Annual Members Meeting – Summer
The Annual Big Pine Lake Property Owners Association Meeting for Members is held in July of each year. The purpose of the members meeting is to discuss and vote on various issues and opportunities facing Big Pine Lake property owners.
Membership is open to all Big Pine Lake Property Owners interested in the purpose and objectives of the Association.
Interested persons may become a voting member by completing a membership form located on the Big Pine Lake website under the Membership tab and submitting the completed form along with payment for one year’s membership dues.
All are welcome (but only members are able to vote).
Special Guest Speaker: Liv Nyffeler
Topic: Can a Small Dose Make a Big Difference? Preparing for Minnesota’s First Whole-Lake Copper Treatment
Liv Nyffeler is a PhD student at the University of Minnesota’s Minnesota Aquatic Invasive Species Research Center (MAISRC).
Her research focuses on zebra mussel management, including developing practical solutions for invasions, understanding population dynamics, and evaluating ecosystem responses to management actions. Liv earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she studied walleye populations in northern lakes, and completed her master’s research at the University of Minnesota on Lake Superior lake herring (cisco) recruitment. Her current work aims to support science-based management strategies that address real-world challenges facing Minnesota lakes.
